A little stiff/very flattering - The material used on these shoes is a bit stiff and seems as though it might be annoying if worn for any length of time. I have a pretty wide foot, and these were even a little loose. They are very flattering to your foot and had I not ordered another brand also (Ralph Lauren) which were soo soft and comfortable, I probably would have kept them and given them time to break in/soften up hopefully. Consequently, I am returning this pair as I bought them for a special occasion where I will be on my feet for many, many hours straight, and the last thing I want is to worry about my shoes hurting. There really is no padding to speak of for the sole of your foot either, if that gives you trouble.
